Picture Books: Part 3: Math Fun

Math Curse by Jon Scieszka & Lane Smith

Mrs. Fibonacci says, "You know, you can think of almost everything as a math problem."  On Tuesday I started having problems.

This is a hilarious story about a young boy and how many things he did throughout the day turned into problem solving moments.  There are even answers to find along the way.  This is very engaging!

One Grain of Rice by Demi

This is a mathematical folktale from India about a village girl asking the Raja for one grain of rice, doubled every day for thirty days.  This is an eye-opening story about compounding interest!
