I chose this story off the shelf for the main reason that my daughter's name is Emmi. It is actually a delightful story about a little girl who wants a mimosa tree for her birthday in her backyard, just like grandma has one in her pasture. When they go to the store, they find no mimosa trees. Grandma compares Emmy to the mimosa tree as "stubborn and strong and a little bit wild", just like my own daughter. You'll have to read it to find out what tree they eventually plant!
